Comunio Profile
Comunio is a students’ voluntary organization active in the field of socio-spiritual initiatives. These initiatives are dynamic in nature and underpin the pro-active nature of this youth organisation. The main focus of commitment lies within the MCAST Institute of Business and Commerce. However through the variety of socio-spiritual actions taken up by Comunio, a vast spectrum of youth needs are being approached both on the MCAST campus and beyond to a national dimension.
The annual Action Plan is a varied one filled with events and initiatives which reflects the vision of the organization as being constantly reacting to youth needs and the signs of the times.
The organization’s Mission Statement clearly indicates Comunio’s commitment:
• To enhance one’s personal development and the formation of the character whilst generating a spirit of dynamic creativity.
• To propagate spiritual values and social awareness through the promotion of various initiatives, highlighting skills and talents put at the service of all members of society.
Through an operational structure which integrates within a Core Team the functions of a number of working teams and ministries, Comunio networks its various initiatives through the following:

Youth Shine
Youth Shine – the Music Ministry responsible for musical animation of various events especially events of a spiritual nature. This Ministry also prepares Spiritual events with a difference, wherein young people are invited to explore their inner peace and spiritual dimension through activities of a varied nature.
Over the past 24 months, the Music Ministry has been very successful in producing two CDs:
- March 2006 Dawl Zghoziti - a ReCharge Kit which included an audio CD
- May 2007 Strumenti - the CD
…both including a good number of original tracks with Christian Spiritual Inspiration. Comunio is very pleased to note that both CD projects have been warmly welcome by many young people who received their own free personal copies of the ReCharge Kit and CDs.

Spark
Spark the Formation Ministry responsible for education, creative expressions, debates and character formation and personality enhancement. Various initiatives are being planned through the work of this Ministry. These include Debating Societies, Food for thought Campaigns, Creative Expression exhibitions, Awareness Campaigns (focusing on Healthy Lifestyle, Peace and Mutual Respect and the Value of Life), and the publication of “footSTEPS” electronic magazine.
Come as 1
Come as 1 - the Social Events promotions team, which organizes a variety of events wherein clean and alternative entertainment is high on the agenda.
A variety of social Events include Treasure Hunts, Sports Festivals, Get Togethers and the like. Other more demanding events such as Battle of the Bands, Musico Literary Evenings and Celebrations – talent events, are also organized throughout the year. This web site will help bringing more information and announce the various events as they will be coming up. The team’s slogan is one of commitment and unity – “We’re all in this 2gether”.
Comunio Plus
A COMUNIO initiative aimed at bringing together ex-students of the Institute of Business and Commerce wishing to be involved in some regular moments of self development, socialisation and spiritual serenity. Formation is high on the agenda of the regular Comunio PLUS meetings and initiatives.
